Greetings in Christ the King!
My dear brothers and sisters, as the psalmist tells us, the heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament proclaims the work of his hands! (Ps 19:1)
What a joy it is for us to be a people of faith. Every single day of our lives we are invited to a new and powerful encounter with the Triune God through the gift of salvation offered to us by our Risen Lord. This truth animates everything we do and all that we say. In fact, we have been called together as a community of faith precisely to make this message known. Serving as pastor of Christ the King is the great joy and privilege that has been given to me, and I am grateful to share this with each of you. Our parish and our school exist to make the love of Jesus Crucified known to all who enter our gates. Through our worship and prayer, we draw closer to the living God. Through our service, we bring the love of this same God to our brothers and sisters in need. Through our fellowship, we celebrate the richness and beauty that these sacred truths have brought into our lives. It is my prayer that each and every person who comes into contact with Christ the King Church will experience the power and the presence of God in our midst. May Mary, our Mother and Queen, draw all who encounter us closer to her Son, Christ our King. May God's choicest blessings descend upon all whom we encounter and may his will be our peace!
Vivat Christus Rex!
Fr. John
